Privacy Policy

Last updated 5 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data Marketing Sumo collects through marketingsumo.co, why, who it is shared with, and how you can access, correct or withdraw consent for it. It follows Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

Who we are

marketingsumo.co is run by Marketing Sumo Pte Ltd (UEN 202139389W), a fractional marketing consultancy based in Singapore (“Marketing Sumo”, “I”, “me”).

For any privacy question or request, contact my Data Protection Officer, Adrian Tan, at adrian@marketingsumo.co.

What I collect

When you send an enquiry. The contact form asks for your name, company, work email, role and monthly marketing budget range.

When you book a call. Bookings are made on zcal, which collects the details you enter there, such as your name, email and the time you choose. zcal’s own privacy policy applies to that page.

When you email or message me. I keep the messages and any details you include.

When you use the chat widget. Messages you type into the chat assistant on the homepage are processed by UnravelX, the provider of that widget.

When you browse the site. Google Analytics records how the site is used: pages viewed, how you arrived, device and browser type, and approximate location (city or country). It uses cookies to do this. I don’t use it to identify you personally.

How I use it

I only use enquiry details to respond to you and discuss working together. I don’t add you to a newsletter or mailing list unless you separately sign up, and I never sell personal data.

By sending the form, booking a call or emailing me, you consent to me using your details for the purposes above. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing adrian@marketingsumo.co. I’ll stop using your data for that purpose and tell you if withdrawing affects anything we’re working on together.

Who I share it with

I don’t share your data with anyone except the service providers that run this website and my business, and only so far as they need it to provide their service:

I may also disclose data where the law requires it.

Transfers outside Singapore

Some of these providers store or process data outside Singapore, including in the United States. Where that happens, I rely on providers that are bound to protect it to a standard comparable to the PDPA, as the PDPA’s transfer limitation obligation requires.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses Google Analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) to count visits and understand usage. No advertising or retargeting cookies are set by this site. Embedded third-party widgets, such as the testimonial wall, chat assistant and booking links, may set their own cookies under their providers’ policies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with Google’s opt-out browser add-on. The site still works without cookies.

How long I keep it

I keep personal data only as long as it’s needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law, for example accounting records for clients. Enquiries that don’t lead to work together are deleted when they’re no longer needed, and in any case within 24 months.

How I protect it

I use reputable providers with encryption in transit (the whole site runs over HTTPS), and access to enquiries and client data is limited to me. If a data breach happens that’s likely to cause significant harm, I’ll notify the Personal Data Protection Commission and anyone affected as the PDPA requires.

Your rights

You can ask to:

Email adrian@marketingsumo.co. I’ll respond within 30 days. If I need longer, I’ll tell you when to expect a reply. I may ask you to verify your identity first.

Changes to this policy

If I change how I handle personal data, I’ll update this page and the “last updated” date above.
